Homestead Tax Exemption
Eligible Florida residents may apply for the year-round homestead exemption of $25,000 on or before March 1 of the year they seek the exemption. Applications are taken year-round. Residents 65 or older may be eligible for an additional exemption if their household income is $22,500 or less. Exemptions are also available for widows, widowers, the disabled and veterans.
